Ushering in Joy with Lael Jepson

“There’s a difference for me between being open to the possibility of something and actively calling it in.” - Lael Jepson

We hear from Lael Jepson this week. She’s a storyteller who helps ignite change by helping women disrupt themselves and their organizations to break free from convention. She starts out by telling us the story of Clyde, her father-in-law, and how he greeted here with three hand claps when she visited her husband’s family in northern Maine. The clapping sound became synonymous with joy for Lael, and has helped her explore the question of how our culture and conditioning so rarely allow us to anticipate joy in our lives. We talk about the magic of moving our bodies and the importance of body language in communication, both when communicating with others and communicating to ourselves. This is a juicy, dynamic conversation. I hope you love it!

“You can’t demand something from the soil that it can’t give.” - Lael Jepson
